People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental, non-profit organization based on the ideas of humanism, freedom, equality and solidarity. We consider human dignity and freedom to be the basic values. We focus on humanitarian aid, development cooperation, human rights and social integration programs.
People in Need Erbil Office is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Driver (2 months with the possibility of extension).
General Responsibilities
Driving PIN vehicles or vehicles rented by PIN and to ensure safety of passengers by respecting all traffic regulations, wearing seat belts and taking care of good technical conditions of vehicle.
Ensuring the security of persons and vehicle.
Commitment to traffic rules and speed on the streets / highways.
Adhere to internal PIN Standard Operating Procedure ( SOP) on movement.
Ensure that movement plan / timing is not disrupted.
Ensuring the number of people who can be officially carried in the vehicle is respected
Never transporting non-PIN personnel, people who do not work on PIN’s programmes or any objects that do not belong to the organization. Only a PIN manager can decide to waive this rule, which also applies to all civil and military authorities.
Perform first aid.
Report in detail any incidents.
Specific Responsibilities
Keep the car clean from the inside and outside all the time
Carrying out daily and weekly car checks (according the organization rules).
Keeping the vehicle’s logbook update always (date, kilometer, trip details).
Always make sure to refill your car before your departure.
Make sure of cloths and appearance is respectable and makes positive representation of PIN.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Driving license, at least 5 years driving experience.
Previous experience with NGOs advantage.
Basic English.
